Lakisha May is an artist, facilitator, and food advocate.
She has her MFA in Acting from The American Conservatory Theater and her BA in English from Spelman College.Lakisha has originated many roles off-Broadway and at various regional theaters throughout the country. She can also be seen acting on screens big and small.
Self-expression beyond what is offered to her as an actor is important to Lakisha. Consequently, Lakisha has written, directed, and produced short films, music videos and web content. As a facilitator, Lakisha enjoys providing arts programing to young people and facilitating team-building workshops at universities throughout the US and Canada.
Additionally, Lakisha works with various organizations that insure ALL people have access to healthy foods. Lakisha is a firm believer that healthy food is human right and that healthy soil will help to transform our planet and our bodies!
